I cannot emphasise enough How comfortable I felt during my stay at Maison Ambre. Beate, her family and all the Staff were exceptional in ensuring I felt at home. In every way, Beate made me soo Welcome - there was nothing she would not do as the host to make me feel at home. Beate is a Host of exceptional qualities. One quality of hers I have never seen ever before in all my global travels - "if she could help me in any way, she would do so, and most times she dismissed the financial implication, saying to me It's on the House" WOW - I HIGHLY recommend Maison Ambre to anybody looking for Good, Wholesome, Friendly, Clean and affordable accomodation - Well Done Beate!!! - Please ensure that my comments above are passed on to Beate
My comments above are surely enough - Please ensure that my comments above are passed on to Beate
The quality of the furniture could be inproved
We had a very friendly welcome. The room was on the ground floor and stayed nice and cool even in the heat of the day. (There was an AC unit, but we didn't even need to turn it on. There is pretty landscaping and a nice pool. I asked to borrow an electrical adapter so I could use my laptop with its USA plug and they were very kind to lend it to me.
Not centrally located... There is a mall with a supermarket about a 20 minute walk.
Great place & people. You wont be sorry
In Klein Winhoek somewhat away from where I had to do business, but that may as well be the shortcomming of my business not :-)
assistance and friendly ambient
Location of the hotel is ideal for those who want to be close to the airport but also have easy access to the city. The guesthouse is basic but clean.
Spaces inside the rooms are not completely comfortable, especially for the bathroom. The dog often enters into the kitchen during breakfast.
The touch was personal and made to feel home. being in Windhoek for the first time made me feel welcome.
A lot of space and facileties. Very clean. Excellent breakfast.
Beate is just a lovely lovely host. Very friendly & hospitable.
The host was very friendly (Beate) I will recomend this b&b to my colleagues and will keep it in mind fo future visites
Very clean and comfortable , in quiet area close to town. Only dissapointment was the lack of biscuits etc with tea/coffee making facilities.
Absolutely no fault of the Guesthouse, but all water was cut to premises after a council water pipe burst in the neighbourhood. Water was unavailable from midnight until I departed at 10.30 am.
The hospitality and friendliness of the owners. The proximity to Windhoek was a plus and the rooms were very comfortable. Would not hestiate to use them again, and recommend them to our friends.
This guest house is located in an up market , secure area where you get a few embassies . It is within 15 minutes walking distance to Maerua Mall and some very good restaurants. The breakfast is good , the owner and the family take utmost care to treat their customers well and make sure that they are comfortable. Most of all you feel that you are in a home away from home.
Very friendly and helpful service and a lovely room.
Good location prior to departure to airport very friendly host
Would have liked to get a light meal in the evening after a long days travelling - but understand its not an easy option for the host as not everybody would want this and eating out was close by.
